Maybach 57 and 62 Zeppelin: first official photos

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 11 February 2009 14:09 Just when you thought the Maybach brand couldn't go any further into the stratoshphere, Stuttgart goes and announces a new 100-strong limited edition. The new Maybach Zeppelin versions of the 57 and 62 limo revive an old badge from the 1930s, as well as the airship pioneered by Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin at the turn of the twentieth century. The 2009-spec Maybach 57 and 62 Zeppelins have an opinion-dividing contrasting paint job, interior tricks galore – and even a 'world first sophisticated perfume atomiser'.

Nissan confirms IDx for production

Nissan will produce at least one of the IDx concepts shown at the Detroit auto show. Vice president Andy Palmer said at the show, “Don’t say that we won’t do both, but we will definitely do one of them.” That statement confused us a bit, especially with the positioning of Nismo as upgraded versions of the company’s normal cars. Surely, the Freeflow could be repainted and improved into a Nismo version.

2014 Jeep Cherokee delayed?

Chrysler Group late today took the unusual step of postponing a planned media drive of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee scheduled for early next month but vowed that "vehicles will still be in showrooms in September." The media event -- in which waves of national and foreign journalists were to gather in Seattle between Aug. 8 and 14 to drive the Cherokee for the first time -- was delayed until at least the first half of September, according to an email from the automaker. "Over the last couple of weeks during final quality and durability testing, we have discovered the opportunity to further improve powertrain calibration" in the Cherokee, the company said.
